Kayla recently completed a 5k sponsored walk challenge to raise some positive dwarfism awareness.
She raised money for the DSAuk (Dwarf Sports Association UK) and The Petersfield Partnership (New Community Hub). After the Saracens 1st team vs. Saracens Legends game, Kayla and Tom started their 5k around the pitch, which was 15 laps in total.
Kayla’s Mum Sophie commented: “Kayla’s aim is to raise awareness of dwarfism! She wants people to see past her height and condition and for everyone to be open, be accepting and to be kind. The DSAuk (Dwarf Sports Association UK) has always been a second home to her and her family. The charity gives children and adults with dwarfism a chance to try out new sports and make friends for life. Kayla competes in the National Games once a year and the DSAuk is so important to everyone because it builds so much confidence in people and allows them to compete fairly.”
Everyone at DSAuk is extremely proud of Kayla! If you can donate, the money raised will be split between two amazing charities.
Twin’s Katie & Emelia and big sister Abigail support DSAuk. At the end of the month, twins Katie and Emelia along with big sister Abigail will be taking part in a swimathon
