This past weekend, DSAuk friends and families gathered at the beautiful West Lodge Farm Park in Northampton for an unforgettable retreat. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Dee Family for graciously hosting us and allowing us to enjoy this amazing weekend together.

The weekend was brimming with fun and exciting activities that everyone had been eagerly anticipating. Most members arrived on Friday, where they found the perfect spot on the campsite, pitched their tents, and reunited with DSAuk friends.

Saturday morning kicked off with an early wakeup call, courtesy of a lively cockerel and the nearby sheep making sure no one slept in. Some members headed to the restaurant for a hearty breakfast, while others embraced the camping spirit by cooking their own meals on portable stoves outside their tents. With everyone well-fed and energized, the group was ready for a day full of adventure.

The day was packed with activities that everyone enjoyed. The huge outdoor play area, mini golf course, barrel rides, and even pig and sheep racing kept both children and adults entertained for hours. Exploring the farm was another highlight, with a variety of animals such as goats, donkeys, rabbits, ducks, pigs, and more providing endless fascination.

Saturday evening was a true highlight as we gathered for a delicious hog roast. The children then embarked on an exciting treasure hunt around the farm, followed by the delightful task of making smores over the fire pit. We ended the night with fun-filled pub quiz that brought out everyone’s competitive side and wonderful sing along courtesy of Tim and Anna!

On Sunday morning, the group gathered one last time for a full English breakfast at the restaurant. Some members began packing up their tents to head home, while others decided to stay a bit longer, making the most of the final day’s activities.

The weekend was a tremendous success, with everyone having a fantastic time. As the weekend came to a close, there was already a buzz of excitement for the next gathering. We can’t wait to do it all again!
