And, just like that, the 29th National Games is over and what a remarkable weekend it was.
Over the weekend 186 athletes competed in the National Dwarf Games in Wolverhampton. We welcomed athletes from the UK, Australia, Germany and Netherlands.
After two years of cancellations due to the pandemic, competitors and their families were thrilled to be back for the four day sporting event.
The 29th National Games opened at the Aldersley Leisure Village on Friday 29th April and came to an end on Bank Holiday Monday 02nd May at Cheslyn Hay Academy, with an array of sports for all ages and abilities.
It was a #DSAmazing weekend full of fantastic sportsmanship and friends reuniting. A big thank you to everyone involved including athletes, officials, volunteers and parents. We really couldn’t do it without you.
Roll on 2023 for our 30th Anniversary Games!
