Dwarf Sports Association uk goes online to combat Covid-19

Due to the ongoing public health issue caused by the Corona Virus (COVID-19) the board and staff of the DSAuk have been required to make some incredibly difficult decisions including postponing all of our Regional programmes and National events for the foreseeable future. Our priority at this time is the health and wellbeing of our members, staff and volunteers. It is disappointing that we have had to postpone these vital events which support the physical, mental and social health of our members and their families but we have been left with no choice.

As an organisation with passionate and dedicated staff, board and volunteers, we have been able to mobilise quickly and move DSAuk’s support to our online social media platforms and website to enable us to continue to keep all our members connected, active and help to keep you all positive.

We want everyone to support each other and let all our members, friends and families know about the new services we are offering and where to find them. Our DSAuk community needs us all, hundreds of people across the UK may feel more isolated, let’s make sure we all stick together and support each other through these difficult times.

With no events for us to attend, to keep active and interact with all our friends we are working hard to adapt and have put the following in place to continue to support all our members. We will be posting regular updates to our DSA Facebook and twitter accounts with lots of exciting ways that you can stay active over the next few weeks. Our #Do Something Active feeds will share what our members are doing while staying at home or isolating. We will also be posting campaigns such as #StayInWorkOut and also lots of your stories about how you are keeping active while at home.

We will be sharing pictures and videos from our members workouts and your updates as well as fun things to do to keep you all feeling motivated and positive.

We are still here to support you all if you need a chat or need any advice on keeping safe and active. Please get in touch and we’ll try our best to help.

Please stay safe, and keep a look out for our posts.
